AMPRODEK Roof Waterproofing Production Description The Amprodek roof waterproofing system has been developed to meet the increasing demand for an economical and durable flat roof water-proofing membrane. It is fire-resistant, trafficable, attractive and suitable for the many types of exposed roofing designs common to buildings nowadays. Formulates from a base of acrylic polymers the Amprodek system is applied in its gel consistency with a layer of fibre-glass mat incorporated to enhance its strength, flexibility and durability. When cured Ampodek forms a seamless water-proofing membrane that will provide maximum protection to buildings from all weather conditions. Features U.V.Resistance: Amprodek is resistant to ultraviolet rays and remains stable even under the most extreme conditions. Unlike most bituminous based products it will not oxidize, crack or deteriorate. Flexibility: The membrane is flexible enough to bridge over all hairline and minor cracks in the substrate. For moving cracks or joints, special treatment is recommended. Chemical Resistance: It is resistant to most common environmental pollutants and dilute chemicals. Further resistance, if required, can be provided by in-corporating a special polyurethane top-coat. Fire-Resistance: Laboratory tested to achieve fire resistance rating of AS1530Pt.3 and flame spread index 0 on non-combustible substrates. Abrasion Resistance: Formulated to withstand regular pedestrian and light-wheeled traffic. Attractive: Available in a choice of colours to blend with the overall appearance of the building. Easy Maintenance: The surface can be easily cleaned by mopping or low pressure washing and when necessary with a mild detergent. Damanged areas can be easily repaired by re-applying with Amprodek to regain its original integrity. Easy Application: Liquid-applied Amprodek is developed to be applied easily and quickly. This greatly reduce faulty workmanship caused frequently by heat induced fatique to workers using the "torch-on" methods of application in hot tropical conditions. Durable: Amprodek's tough membrane provides high resistance to pedestrian and lightweight traffic. When subjected to medium heavy vehicular traffic an additional layer of fibreglass mat would be required Versatile: Amprodek can be applied over virtually all new and existing roofs and decks with fully supported substrate e.g. waterproof plywood, fibre cement sheet and concrete. Aesthetic: Amprodek offer a seamless waterproofing membrane which is available in a selection of low gloss colours to suit today’s building decorative needs. Recommended Areas of Use Amprodek is ideal for roof amenity area, walk out deck, patio and all general and remedial roof situations. Surface Preparation Ensure expansion joints, large cracks and other defects are correctly treated. Substrate must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease and loose materials prior to application of Amprodek. Application Process Amprodek is applied using roller for field areas and brush for corners and flash-ups.
Notes: Where substrate surfaces meet wall, Amprodek should flash at least 150mm up the vertical wall. Maintenance General cleanliness is maintained by mopping or low pressure washing. Warm solution of dilute neutral detergent can also by used, followed by rinsing.
